The new law adapts Swedish legislation to both the European Patent Convention and the Agreement on a Unified Patent Court. These changes cover, among other things, which inventions can be patented and the patent holder&#8217;s exclusive rights, where two new exceptions are introduced for plant breeding and the use of computer programs.&#13;\n<\/p>\n\n<p><div>To streamline the processing and make the patent process more understandable, the rules on how to handle a patent application are also clarified.
